Behind the Scenes: Making a Book Trailer for The Woman in Brown

NOTE: The Woman in Brown may not be available on Amazon until 4/24, but is now available in these ebook stores. Thank you for watching and reading!

I had a lot of fun making this. The one downside to video content is the amount of time it takes to do. However, I enjoy watching films and liked doing this trailer for my short crime fiction story, The Woman in Brown. My understanding of "book trailer" was "make a movie trailer about your book". However, after googling the phrase, I see more than a few opinions on what "book trailer" means.

I'm curious to see if this is effective or not. If not, I don't think it is efficient for me to continue doing it because book trailers take up so much time to create. My favorite parts were picking out the music and all the different photos. So we'll see in the coming weeks if I am successful.

One more experiment on the path to becoming an author!

To create this video, I used Canva and free video content that was permissible to use. I might try doing a stop motion lego video of one of my stories, but I have yet to price that out in terms of time and money.

However, it would be fun...

I'll need to write a story with dinosaurs, so I have an excuse to collect all the Jurassic Park lego pieces.
